wish my gas gauge was accurate. if it was, then i would have swapped out my oem nav a long time ago. i have to rely on the DIC for that instead

Is it that bad? I've taken mine down to empty but haven't pressed my luck.

When I fill up my tank, by the time the DIC says I've used up 8 gallons the gas gauge on the cluster displays one notch down from full. Then when the DIC says I have used 15 gallons, gas gauge reads 1/4. Very inaccurate!

So yeah, I have to rely on the DIC for my fuel measurements. Lol

I love this kit, really cleans up the dash. I actually just used the exact same one on a JVC KW NT-800HDT, also had a 10" 250w bazooka bass tube wired up with it. The sound is beyond amazing, I can't believe I waited a year to have it done.

The only thing I really missed about the DIC was the outside temp, but just glancing at my phone will tell me that. Having complete phone connectivity far outweighs whatever you lose IMO

Any reason why you chose this head unit versus the Parrot? I like the fact that the Parrot runs on Android and offers an app store. I do think yours offers a nicer display, plus the 7" vs. the 6.2" Parrot.

The 7" screen played into it but I really wanted the simplicity of having the Garmin built in. I'm not mega tech savvy so I don't care to play with a bunch of apps, just wanted a unit that was all inclusive and ready to go out of the box...
