    StealthV requested, I obliged

Took my 10" rear CCWs with 275 Michelins and stuck em up front to PROVE they WILL NOT fit. Not even close. Don't ever want this to come up again.

The tire hits the control arm

and when it hits there is still a 1/2 inch gap between the wheel and rotor

and this is how far they stick out under the fender ACK

and for reference, my 275s do rub just a wee bit on the rear control arm

I know somebody will cry invalid test since they are 10" rims, not 8.5; however, a 275 is a 275 no matter what rim you squeeze it on rite?

that was fun, any more requests Rick?

    Hey Urb,

Could have saved you some time on this bro. I tried it myself when I had the 275's.

The photos are most excellent Urby - thanks. You needed to clean the backsides of your wheels anyhow.

Good thing we can put this one to bed. But you did open up a new one. That's some pretty good rubbing in the rear. I'm going to have to check mine out.

I'm running 275/35 R19's in the rear and mine don't stick out at all...I think it has to do with the offset on how the wheels are cut.

Re: Here ya go...275s on 10" CCW up front *pics*

Urb the controversy is 275's on stock wheels in front... Running 275's on 10" wheels, the surface of the tire moves (more inboard and more outboard)... it's not the same as 275's on 8.5"

10-inchers not fitting up front doesn't mean stock wheels wont fit -- both with 275's. Even stock wheels w/275s not fitting doesn't mean other 8.5" wheels wont fit w/275's

But my 275's on my 8.5" stock wheels w/ even a 0.25" spacer rub on the suspension.

If I get some time I'll move my 275s on stock rims to the front. They will rub. From Urby's pics that's some major contact, even an 8.5" rim ain't pulling the tire in enough to fix that.

Dreamin you got all the respect I have....you know your stuff....but no way can you stuff a 275 up front man Not on any rim. I mean...measure the tread width of a 275 crammed onto an 8.5. Will it firstly be 1/2" narrower for the wheel to even snug up to the rotor? Then will it be narrow enough to clear that control arm with room to move under cornering?

I want the 285 and 295 gang to check their...um...arse rubber and see if they're rubbing like me.
