    Powder Coating Calipers

Where are you guys getting your calipers powder coated?

How much does it usually cost? Who's the best? Do they rebuild the calipers or what?

I'm thinking ZR1 blue (electric blue) would look decent against my silver V1 on F1's.

re: Refinishing (painting or powder coating) calipers

I had mine painted since pdcoating was going to be a lot more involved. Due to having to heat it you must break them down and remove the seals. If I could redo it I would probably have pdcoated them though. The first time I had them painted with a g2 brush kit, looked like shit. Had it redone with same kit but used a gun and it came out real nice. Sometimes I think I should have left it alone since the silver looks clean from the factory. Yours looks good with those wheels. If I had to pick a color I would do a deep blood red to match the taillights.

Lolly, man I like those concave wheels!

funny I called my powder coater this morning since I want to get my Durango's calipers coated. He said "No Go" on baking calipers, 600 plus degrees and seals are a bad combo. and doesn't recommend re-building them just to PC. He just recommended the ceramic rattle can method. many colors to choice from and better then brushing.

That's what I was saying, it is possible but its fairly involved. The G2 kits are about 100 dollars and can be shot with a disposable gun that they sell. came out smooth and doesn't look bad. If you get right up on it you can see where its not a factory paint job but standing next to the car it looks fine...
