I'm thinking about having mine powder coated "Brembo Gold" with black V logo. I have a Redline V...keeping stock wheels, but plan on having the wheels refinished. Any good photo-shoppers wanna let me see this before I dump money?

Randy, ZR1 blue would look cool.

If you don't track your car, how long will regular paint (touch-up type paint for cars) hold up on calipers?

If you go to your local AutoZone (or whatever), you'll see paint specifically used on calipers. It's designed to take the higher temperatures.

Yes, but I want a specific color, not one of the generics. The "Brembo Gold" is powder coated, and I'd have to rebuild my calipers then. Honda makes a color that people say is a spot on match for Brembo Gold, but it is a factory color, used in 1990 I believe, and comes in touch-up forms (i.e. small mixed bottle, aerosol, etc.). I don't know how hot my calipers get, or what temp factory type paint can withstand.

The calipers shouldn't get too hot unless you are tracking the car. Normal street operation shouldn't exceed ~300*F on the surface of the Calipers. Standard automotive paint will probably hold up fine depending on how well you prep them. Only Issue I may see is if you use aggressive wheel cleaners, it may dull the finish. I normally powder coat them and you can get them done in all sorts of colors. You would have to disassemble the caliper, but they are very simple.

Been trying to picture each of the colors on my car. The blue I see out there doesn't do it for me and may be a bit too understated. I've thought of yellow, just can't imagine it well enough, but I'm still open to it. Red seems like it's the fall back choice ... a form of decision making I don't necessarily want to resort to.

    Yellow ... hm-m ...
