How to Best Polish Stock Wheels

Have some minor scratches on my stockers and wondering if it's possible to polish out the scratches with a light polishing compound or if it is not recommended? Would also like to know if the stockers are painted or powder coated from the factory?

    Should be normal wheel paint.

Depending on how deep the scratches are, it is possible to sand/polish and blend back.

Or just fill scratches with a high build primer and then respray with something like Duplicoat wheel paint.

Or get the aircraft stripper out and take them down to bare metal and then polish to a brilliant shine
