Alright, I saw a V with these rims at the dealership and think I will get mine with them. The picture is here http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/imglib/wheels.html . The page only calls them the optional CTS-V wheels. What name would I tell the dealer, so that they knew what I was actually talking about?
I saw the same style rims on a CTSV at my dealer but they had vogue written on the center caps. I'm guessing but I think their vogues, with an optional blank center cap in the picture posted. On the window sticker they were charging a premium for the wheels (3000+) and I didn't see a credit for the stockers.
If these are the wheels you are talking about (see attached photos) they are GM part #17800211 and list @ $385.71 ea. I just got mine today. I was able to talk my dealer into selling them to me at cost which is $364.50
Specs are 18X8.5 +42 mm offset polished and clearcoated about 24.5 lbs.
(My bathroom scale is not the best way to weigh these). Hope this helps?
Actually, he's got some that don't have as much bling. These wheels are made by Weld here in KC so they will be 3 piece forged. Of course he'll have some for the Bentley crowd as well. Even Asanti has some forged rims that look "sporty". I'm going with iForged myself, black with a polished lip.
I have to say, of the few of P. Diddy's wheels that I have seen, they're pretty slick looking without being gaudy. And if that little guy can hold up a wheel that big, they should be fairly lightweight.
