I have the DDM Tuning kit as well. Using them in my CTS-V fogs, SRT8 fogs and CTS-V aftermarket headlights.

I went through 4 different brands. Awful time with hids but vvme , as stated above, are the best by far! Only 33!

What's the aiming and light diffusion like with the HID fogs? My (OEM) fogs are perfect just as they are now as far as pattern, aim, and diffusion--they light up the road just in front of the car just like fog lights are always supposed to but rarely ever do.

I wouldn't mind them being slightly brighter (which I assume the HIDs would accomplish), but not at the expense of the pattern, aim, diffusion, etc.

That I can't really comment on first hand. I went with clear lenses on the V. On the Jeep though, it seems to be the same pattern. On that I have a 55 watt kit though so they're really bright and over power the stock low beams. I went with 3000k so it is obvious, but I like the yellow/blue contrast on the red Jeep.

I have the 35W DDM HID kit in my foglights and they aim and diffuse pretty well. The only downside I would note, is that when aimed toward the ground, (like foglights should be) they are so bright that I think they tend to be a bit distracting while I drive. Kind of like my eyes are drawn in closer to the front of the car because it is so much brighter. Not that I'm complaining, you just seemed concerned about how they function as a fog light, vs most people just want to know how cool they look.

Yes...I want them to work first. Looking cool is okay, but not if they don't work as fog lights.

So since you've got them (and seem to want them to work too), bottom line, are the HIDs better or keep the OEMs? I would like them to be a little brighter, but if they're so bright they're distracting, maybe not that bright.

i put a set of DDM 55w 6000ks in my fogs and i absolutley love them. granted the color does not match the factory headlights but they are brighter than all hell.

I really like them. They provide more light and look way better. Just make sure you aim them correctly and you should be happy.

Seems like hit or miss with them. I had a set in my Audi A4 and they were great for 2-3 years. Buy a 2nd set for spare parts. Can't beat the price.
