    Blacked Out Thread

I'm planning on blacking out my rear tail lights, reverse lights, as well as blacking out the rest of the front of my V.

Post up pics of how you have your fronts\rears blacked. Did you keep the chrome outline on the grill? Did you black it all out? Did you black half the fog light? The whole thing?

I'm interested in seeing pictures so I can decide what I should and shouldn't do.

Right now, I have blacked wheels, half blacked fogs (signals), mesh in grill blacked with chrome outline, blacked side markers, but nothing done at the rear. I also haven't had the chance on blacking out the bottom grill, but I'm thinking whether I should black the entire thing, or try to leave some of the silver trim on the sides.

Looks good! I wouldn't leave it out next to those walls for very long or your car might take on a whole different look.

All black in the front, painted the headlight surround, inside of the headlight housing (from gray to black, and got rid of all the chrome). Blacked out emblems, grille, and mesh.

And a Rigid LED light bar. <hahahaha>

If anything I'd have the light bar in the lower grill, but that's just me. Love my rigid lights in my truck! It's always daytime driving now.

Yeah, thought about that too. Lost too much light output by having it that close to the ground.

Obviously, I don't have a V. But I liked the black mesh version, that's what I've done on mine. I am actually in the process of building new headlights similar to yours!

Not to jack this thread, but are you going to apply anything over them?

You mean like a clear? Wasn't planning on it but that's not a bad idea!

Your stance is tough and I like it alot, but it wouldn't survive on NYC streets. LOL

are you guys just taping off the headlights and painting the trim around the headlights? What paint are you using for painting them from the grey to black on the headlights?
