Just a standard Duplicolor rattle can with a clear, if you're painting older lights you may want to hit is with a light coat of filler primer to fill in any scratches or pits.

    Here are mine, Before:

Here was my OEM ones before I upgraded:

I painted the engine cover to match the black car too!
Nothing was worse than a nice Blacked out car and then grey plastic engine cover!

I really like this thread as I'm planning on blacking some things out.

My plan is blacked out mesh (leave the chrome around the grill), plastidip my rims and blacking out some (possibly most) of my lights.

As soon as my body heals I will be doing some of this stuff as well as posting up some pics.

Oh, I'd also like to paint my calipers. Really like the way the yellow looks.

If you need a good powder coating place let me know, I got a guy that does great work for good prices in Preston, did my wheels and calipers.

I blacked my grills and my wheels last night. I did both with plasti dip and although I haven't had them out in the daylight yet I am very happy with the turnout.

I'll post up some pics later.

Use photo bucket, become a supporting member or delete old pics. Personally I use photo bucket for everything.

I use imageshack.us no account needed - unless you want to keep your pix organized.

I use my account sparingly but upload a ton anonymously parts illustrations, screen shots, fleeting viral images, etc

    Re: Blacked Out Thread

Just picked up my car last weekend, and it's been blacked out already. Only thing missing is tint, which I'll be doing soon.
