    LS2 Engine Covers

Hey all. Just checking to see what and how everyone has done with engine/fuel rail covers.

I'm looking forward to pick up a set from a corvette. I'm thinking they're just a direct fit, or what's needed to make them work? And what color?

Should almost fit. You'll need to dremel out a notch by the power steering reservoir, I believe...

You've gotta cut a huge slice out of each one to make them fit. Even then, the driver's side one doesn't fit very well. I'd save your money.

    Sweet... thanks!
I do think it looks so much better. Just my thing i guess. I wonder what is different on a C5, I'll try to locate one.
What about that middle piece? If you order from chevy, does it come with it? They have them on a few places else where online.

Middle piece? Between the covers is the intake manifold.

Summit Racing is probably the cheapest.

O I C... so is it more popular to just paint the mani / have it powder coated? Or get a cover for that to go along with the rail covers?

What you're seeing is the stock manifold as it came from the factory. Take your strut bar off, take your trash can lid cover off...

lol! that's exactly it, looks like a trash lid... Guess it's just a nice clean mani... Could almost promise mines aluminum colored. But I'll be tinkering around soon.
    Thanks for the help!

After I'm done, I may paint them. I've seen some places where they sell the corvette lettering in different colors.
    Vinyl letters
    Acrylic letters

I bought black ones with red lettering, had to make some minor cuts for them to fit right. Then I installed a Maggie and they are collecting dust in my garage. Need to sell them. Make me an offer.

Very clean work, man. Care to share what kind of dremel bit you used? Did you you do it freehand, or did you clamp the FRCs somehow?

Here is mine, I sprayed my intake with duplicolor sparkle red, no need to powder coat them as they are ABS plastic, you could but not worth the expense when you can do it at home! You could also have them Hydro Dipped into a pattern, search LS2 intake hydro dipping in google images and I'm sure you'll find some good looking ones.

Here is an example of Hydro Dipping, these are some of my interior piece's.
