    Last year. The law still states you have to have one, but the penalty has been removed. Multiple people have been pulled over, ticketed, went to court, and had it dismissed at no cost.

    I've been without a plate for over a year and never even been pulled over.

    ah, because of the front plate frame thing. I think I can see why you would feel that is slightly inconvenient.

    Truly, by the grace of God I was born a Texan, but I wish I had been born in Georgia since they don't require front plates.
