    Re: Replace/refinish rear dash

A few years ago I had a 97 z-28 that had a very faded plastic front dash. I covered it with black leather from a fabric store and it came out great. Would like to do the same for my platinum V, but with a light grey leather (to match the interior).

    Thoughts?

I think a suede type material would look the best.

I think you are right...wouldn't glare so much from the sun like the leather would. I would love to find a cts/cstv rear deck from a salvage yard to test with...unless anyone has a rear deck from their V they would like to sell.

Make sure you cover it with Automotive grade suede or leather, the fabric store stuff will fade in the sun (speaking from experience!)

Try craigslist list. I know a guy here in the Houston area is selling his.
