Painted my stock engine cover + Custom CAI

Got the idea from a guy on here... used high temp engine spray paint, 2 coats primer, 3 paint, 2 clear... let it dry a week and there it is!

As for the CAI I did the standard setup that everyone else did with 3.5" piping. I have a cam and the CAI def helped with tq.

    Anyway here's the result!

and here's a shot just for fun (this is not photoshopped)

    Looks great!!

Can you provide a complete parts list for the CAI setup?

What is the complete process for painting the engine cover?

Today my air filter fell off. The air flow sensor has a metal ring and the filter fits inside it, therefore, there is no way to tighten it down! How do you guys keep the filter in place? The stock one is a thin plastic piece that goes in between two slits do I have to cut that off and somehow attach it? For now I bolted a bracket that forces the filter in place but I want a more elegant solution.

What's crazy is no CEL came on even riding around with no filter! Good thing I did an oil change today, phew!

I'm pretty sure my air filter went over the MAF. Otherwise, you might not have the right sized filter.

I really like that separator. Did you make that? It looks like it goes to top of hood and seals. I'm pretty ticked off with K&N Didn't realize there were so many gaps in their panel.

    I used a #RC-5060 filter from K&N.

CAI looks great! plastic trash can FTW. way better then the K&N Hot air intake.. IMO a hole in the top of the stock engine cover looks incomplete. if it had plastic that followed the lines of the runner it would look alot better IMO.

That is the most badass garbage can ever lol. Where did you get it? I am doing a DIY intake right now and was going to use ABS to separate the filter from the engine bay, but the garbage can looks WAY better.
