Why does the RPM gauge say US Speedo? That's a huge turn off and it looks tacky.

Finally finished the led and gauge face mod, ran into a few snags along the way.... FYI the needles are brittle as sh.t, the stepper motors are nothing but plastic (easy to break) and the stainless gauges scratch very easy. Besides all that I am pleased with the end result! While I was at it I changed a few other led's to blue such as the keyless entry reminder, traction control, etc. The color in the car is 1000 times better, soft blue, very modern looking.

Really hard to get a picture that does the new look justice, but here you go:

I like it. I think sticking with the red needles would look the best though.

It looks good I would also like to see what they look like in the day light. I would have probably done them in all red (instead of the blue) however it still looks real clean!

I would have stuck with the red needles if I had the choice! They broke in half just looking at them, I had to replace them with Escalade needles since CTS-V needles are impossible to find. However the blue needles actually look really good in person with the white LED's behind them, don't try any other color than white as it's too dim.

Here is a link to the pics, not that my needles are off so the led's behind the needles are a little glaring. Although it looks a little orange (the camera does not the color justice), if you compare it to how orange they were before then you will see they look 200% better! I included some pics of before.

This mod is not for the faint at heart when it comes to the soldering. These led's are surface mount and really hard to get lined up right, it takes a lot of patience as the smallest little bump or breath send these light little buggers flying!
Hey, could you take another round of pictures, both in the daytime and at nighttime that aren't quite so blurry? US Speedo is sending me pictures of their new anodized black stainless steel gauges for the first generation CTS-V tomorrow, and I'd like some good comparison pictures.
