    They are the stock size, must be the angle and because the car was just let down off the jack stands.

    How does plasi-dip compare to powder coating?

    The plasti dip has a matte finish and the powdercoat will have a gloss finish unless you get a flat black powdercoat.

    I joined the club yesterday...

    My wheels are next...I just put my winter wheels back on so I could clean up the set I'm going to plasti dip. I cleaned them and taped them up so I'll be spraying them over the next couple of days. I'll put more pics up when they're done.

    For wheels, powder coating is the way to go, much more durable.

    biggest CON to PLASTI::

    Every piece of large tree pollen or fuzz sticks to the textured finish. so i find myself cleaning it alot. thats about it.. haha

    unless your powder coater fks up and compromises the integrity of the wheels. there have been quite a few V owners on here showing off their cracked black powder coated wheels..

    every approach has its cons

    Yup...I'm catching up on long overdue mods. LS7 clutch/flywheel, creative steel motor mounts, diff bushing and block, ground control w/new FG2s installing this weekend, and plasti dip grill and wheels. It's on it's way to becoming a whole new car.

    Finally plasti-dipped my grills after numerous times of painting and I love this sh*t! Be taking a trip over the mountain this weekend so we'll see how it holds up!

    Re: Let's see if the plasti dip hold's up

    Well, I had a mishap with the front brake hoses so the brake fluid definitely takes off plasti dip as well as it takes of paint. I just wiped them down and let them dry, they re-sprayed them and they look great.

    Sorry for the dirty car, and please no comments on the f-ed up bumper, I know.
