I like it, but mine would have to be more subtle, like the sts-v dash... I wonder if you could get that small emblem off the plate of the sts replacement...
Like shadys placement a bit more,it follows the contour better like the trunk emblem..
I like shady's placement too! I thought about that for a long time - whether to make the badge parallel to the bottom of the panel (like shady did) or parallel with the top of the dash. I ended up deciding on the second option. Having a bit of OCD, I actually ran a line across the louvers of the inboard vent (which also appear parallel to the top of the dash) to make sure everything appeared orderly.
Everything that's right with the V emblem on the STS-V (beautiful!) is what's wrong with that big ole V you guys are putting on here. Way too tacky. But that's just this man's opinion so please take it as such.
oo i see what you're saying. deff not perfect but honestly most people who sit in the car can't tell its not stock.. bottom line the rubber-made interior needs some breaking up, something needed to be done [i had never seen the inside of a stsV before, thanks for the pic]
I agree, shady. I love my car, but the interior is a little bit boring. The badge adds some color and breaks up a large mass of black plastic. In the context of the interior as a whole, I really don't think it's too large for the space it occupies, although if I had access to a slightly smaller one, I may well have gone that direction.
I've also added the Lloyd floor mats with the larger V emblem than the stock mats. And I've ordered a weighted stainless steel shift knob from TWM performance and a shifter boot from Redline that matches the seats (black smooth leather/black suede). I think the combination will make the interior a little more interesting. Everyone may not share that opinion and that's certainly their prerogative - I would never assume that my taste is the same as anyone else's.
lol, there is this crazy software out there called Google, maybe you've heard of it. It does some amazing things like pulling up threads that are posted to the internet when you do a search for Cadillac CTS-V.
Hate to burst your bubble but I'm far from a newbie, I've done more to the interior of my cts-v then anybody on this thread and when did it become taboo to post an opinion? I've done my fair share of tacky projects and I welcome people to tell me their opinon so I can make changes and adjustments to improve it.
newb you're not special. i comment on all negative opinions, that come out of nowhere on a dead threadz.. a troll is a troll, no hard feelings its the interwebs.. you should post some of those pics once in a while. rear armrest looks good. whats the point of uploading to a server if your not going to whore them out alittle bit
not a fan... Kinda like the "V" emblem headrest covers... just a little too much... to each his own though... as long as you enjoy it. Although it does give me the idea to make a headband with a dowel rod attached to it with a string on the end of it & a "V" emblem on the end of the string... that way folks can see the "V" where ever they look... At home... At the office... At the beach... In the Club... On the Golf Course... you guys get the idea...
