Need help deciding. I have my rears off getting widened, so when they get back I'll get them recoated. My car is silver, and I actual like the stock silver color rims, but it would seem a waste to go with the same color. I could have gotten by without recoating them, but the tire shop scratched up the lip of the rims taking the run-craps off.
I don't like black rims for a silver car, it looks too much like winter rims,
but I was thinking gun metal or polished with a clear.
If anybody has pics for a silver V it would help me decide.
Was also thinking bronze, but still not to sure for a silver V.
Maybe even a slightly darker silver would set the rims off?
This may be just me, but I have always thought that a nice matte grey powdercoat, with either a polished lip, or even better, a pinstripe (red or blue) would look awesome. The matte grey would contrast with the platinum (it would have to be quite a bit darker), and then the pinstripe/polished lip would break the wheel up from the tire quite nicely.
i was thinking about doing bronze on my stockers for a while and then just got a set of rotas.. This is the color i was thinking about but i have smoked fogs and sidemarkers; 20% tintz
they look ehhhh from 20 feet but up close im a big fan
It really depends tho.. from what i remember you have clear fogs and markers.. in that case i would go with a high gloss satin because of the other accents...
steel matte grey from wheel dude.. looks like a satin to me.. pretty stock and clean to me
Here's a side by side comparison. I jacked some photos of some members here (sorry about that). They are perfect reference, The first one is stock obviously,
the second has a lighter than gunmetal PD, which I think I am leaning toward.
I think diamond edge of polished would look good on them too, but not sure if it's possible.
