    My $1.00 Bumper Plug Fix

I posted this on LS1tech too....so sorry if its a double post for you.

Ok, so the V came with a front license plate bracket when I bought it....yuck! So I drilled the rivets out and found this:

6 years of dirt and grime along with a scuff mark from where it rubbed the paint...:bang:

So I cleaned it up, but now i'm left with four holes!

So, being unwilling to pay out the ass for bumper plugs online , I went to home depot. These are what I found:

So I poked a few holes in some cardboard to hold these. Used some black touch up paint that I had laying around and tossed a quick coat of clear over top.

    Final result:

Looks pretty good for 88 cents plus tax! Even better that the ugly license plate bracket is gone. The bumper will eventually need repainted, but this will do for now. :chug:

Ditto, well done! Those look so much better than the big a$$ bumper plugs you pay like $20 for online.

I'm just glad we have no front plate in PA and I didn't get my car from a state who does.

It's easier when the color is black. Mine is silver and I've been thinking about filling the holes with JB Weld then use paint marker to cover the epoxy.
