Alternatives to gloss black for wheel/grill combo?

Don't get me wrong, I really like it when the OEM wheels/grill are powdercoated a gloss black to match the factory Raven paint. However, after seeing the Katech CTS-V, I was wondering if anyone had gone with a flat/matte black for either or both? Better yet, I'm wondering if anyone has done some version of black that has some bronze in it or perhaps just a really dark grey?

If so, posting pictures/links would be greatly appreciated.

    Photochop

I decided to take the bull by the horns and experiment a bit with different shades of color for the OEM wheels. I did a quick Google image search and found what I deemed to be a suitable "stock" image to work with. Should this be someone's car from the site, thanks for the help.

Anyway, here are the results from my initial stab:

    OEM

    Light Grey

    Medium Grey

    Flat Black

    Gold

    Bronze

Please feel free to provide feedback as to your opinion regarding what looks best. Oh, I realize that this particular owner already customized part of the grill, so I'm not concerned about that aspect at present. I think I'm gonna do gloss black for the entire grill (trim + mesh) no matter what, so I'm concentrating on the wheel color.

Well, sir, you have seen my car in person at HPR and I have matte black on both the wheels and the grille.

However, I do really like the light grey and the bronze (my favorite) on the options you posted.

Bronze is my first pick. I'm doing that on a widened set of stockers for the track. My car is redline though and I think bronze would be a great color. The light grey is next.

That is so true, but don't you have aftermarket wheels and a red wheel stripe? My memory could be failing me, but I think that's what you have. Also, your car looks amazing. However, I want to be a little different, hence the color options instead of the "standard" black that most seem to choose.

Thanks for the input. I agree with you and tweeter81; I like the bronze and light grey too. Decisions, decisions.

I really like the light and med gray wheels personally. Does anyone have a link or a pic of a stock silver V with the same stock rims on it in gray? I have been looking and only seem to find Silver Vs with black rims.

Awesome. Thank you! This is the best redline wheel color I've seen to date.

Thanks, man. Unfortunately you got to see my car when it was all beat up with hail damage. I got her fixed later in the summer and here is how she looks now. Also, I hope to see you and your girl (tell her thanks again for doing some lap timing duties, that was really cool) again at the track (either HPR or Pueblo) sometime.

Somebody did the bronze wheels recently and I thought they looked fantastic! That would be my choice.

    Like I said, just sick:

Yeah, we kinda fell off the map for a bit as other stuff came up and ate our time. I'm hoping next year sees me getting some track duty, especially since the girlfriend enjoyed it so much too. Before that happens tho, I wanna get the look of my car just right. I wanna get the wheels/grill done this Winter, and then I'm gonna buff/wax the hell outta the paint with some Griot's products to bring it back to showroom condition.

digging the bronze, think thats the color to go for my silver V, seeing as the color has a light bronze undertone already. Anybody wanna photo chop it up?
