I can shed some insight on this cuz I am getting some custom made headlights done so I had to learn a lot about headlights to decided what to put on mine. These lights probably have a ccfl halo which is good, but they are made with very thin glass so you always have a risk of breaking a bulb if something makes hard contact with the light or the car in general. There are some new headlights on the market for the cts... http://www.dashzracing.com/03-07-Cad...hts-Black.html
They are super high priced, but these headlights look really nice. They have the newest ccfl halos so they are really good halos, but you have they still have a risk of potentially breaking. The other downside to switching from your factor headlights is there is a good chance your headlight beams will not align with each other. The shop I do stuff for has a big problem installing aftermarket headlights and having to explain to a customer that the headlight beams are a little bit uneven and if they want them to fix it they need to charge them extra to make modifications. Most of those companies that make aftermarket stuff don't have the right from car companies to make aftermarket parts so they will not align like your oem headlights because the companies cannot copy the oem specs due to copy rite laws. (the company explains that to the customers before they buy it...there not *******s or anything) For my headlights, I decided to go with a customized led halo (not that cheap crap) which doesn't really have a chance at breaking, but the halo will not have the same smooth look as the ccfl bulbs so it was hard to make a decision over the ccfl, but I don't think theres a drastic difference in the look, but the durability is way better and thats what im looking for. I have to say thats some impressive work GemCityCustoms, those lights look good.

Those things are gorgeous i love the all black look and it is something I was looking to do to mine but, I didnt want to tear my headlight apart. However, $750 is INSANE!
