I love people who throw out the "rice/ricer/ricey" term any time they see something they don't like, whether it has anything to do with Japanese cars/JDM/etc. People have been airbrushing rivets on custom motorcycles and hot rods for decades - there's nothing "ricer" about it. If you don't like it, just say so, rather that throwing out the ridiculously overused term.

Agreed. I was thinking of the Audi color that martinV mentioned. Saab had a somewhat similar color, don't know what it was called. Either of those I was thinking would look cool. The rivets just are a bit too cartoonish for me.

Not saying I ever would, but if I were doing that I would have went with a smaller/tighter rivet line pattern more in line with aircraft rivet patterns than the larger more spaced out naval heavy ship type rivet patterns. Definitely different though. Interested to see how it turns out.

I too dont agree with the ricer/ricey term. If it was bright green or bright orange, then yes. It would be a vin diesel project; "Too fast and too furious" No ricers put rivets on their cars..............
