the bulb is in its socket and fits to the rear of the housing and the marker isn't a reflector but a diffuser (you know the geometric pattern on the back of the semi-clear plastic lens). I have a spare, if you pm me your email ill send you a pic

So I bought the clear fogs and a HID kit from v-leds. The fogs are suprisingly a quality looking piece. Issue is the hid's are not coming on. The light on the dash comes on but no fog light. Anyone have issues with this before?
I didn't have time to pull the hid and test the old fog light. I'll have to check that tomorrow.
    Thanks for the input.

Try turning the plug around on the lights. I believe the polarity of the fog light power wires is opposite of what the HID ballasts need. Search and read some of the HID fog light threads I think that others have had this problem.

    Good luck

    Inexpensive clear fogs?

    Hello group.

I was recently considering doing the self-conversion to clear fogs on my V, and I saw these aftermarket STS assemblies on ebay. Has anyone tried installing these? If so, how did the install go? How have they held up? I don't mind putting the effort into the DIY path, but for less than $100 for the set, it hardly seems worth it. Any feedback from anyone who has tried these would be greatly appreciated!

PS - please forgive me if this was already discussed elsewhere - I did not see mention of these in the other threads.

They wont fit the CTS-V or even the STS-V. those you posted a link too are too large and only fit the regular STS bumpers.

The title of the ebay ad incorrectly states they are for a STS-V. They are not.

Yup, that's the normal STS style, not the STS-V style. As Oh5V said, they won't fit. Really is a shame, because I think they would look great.

Digging up an old thread since I'm curious about long term use of the eBay vendor (Depo?)... any anyone experienced any fogging or moisture buildup? Curious if these are on par with OEM STS-V housings....since they're on sale for $237 shipped.

Depo makes a lot of aftermarket lights for a lot of cars. It's great quality but not 100% oem. If you feel they will fog up just run a pass of silicone on the seals before installing them and you shouldn't have any problems

Can't tell them from an OEM product. They are fine.

Price went back up. I ordered mine last week for $237 shipped and should receive them tomorrow. Maybe if you mention the recent lower price he will honor that.
