yooper, beautiful...just beautiful. I love all the pix and especially the underhood pic. That is the first time I have ever seen the under side of one of these babies.

I'll tell you what, the only reason I would possibly take silver over black would be because body work and accents (like on the SW hood) show up so much better and more pronounced on lighter colors.

    Thanks for the kind words.

c4ss if you pm me your e-mail, I can send you additional pictures showing the vents with the trap doors installed. Been crazy last couple of weeks and didn't get a chance to downsize the rest of the pictures.

There are drain holes in the forward corner of the rain traps.
The water exits between the motor and radiator and is designed to miss the air intake.

I run mine with the bottom plates off but keep them in the trunk for road trips.

This Hood really looks nice! I have a few questions for you:
Where did you buy it? How much was it shipped?
It doesn't look like it has the washer nozzles..? does it?..if not did you just omit them or do something else?
One last question...what is the emblem under your "V" on the the front quarter panel?

    Looks Amazing.
Does that hood offer any additional clearnace for the Air Intake Tube?
My AIT is currently rubbing slightly on the bottom of the stock hood.
If this hood can fix that, it's just another compelling reason to get one.

To be honest, I think it actually made LESS clearance for my K&N intake. Once we threw this hood on, we had to trim some of the rubber trim from the top of the heat shield to make it fit. I think the stock hood formed almost an air tight seal with this trim around the heat shield. Less the trim, I'm pretty sure it still does the same thing with the SW hood. Hard to tell though. Judging by my temps on the dash, with the heat extractor slots I'm pretty sure a lot more of the heat that is released from the motor is being released as well. If you are already rubbing, I'd say stay away from this hood and possibly get the powerdome/extreme composites hood. Seems to be more room available under those. Hope this helps.

    Hey guys,

Have been MIA for awhile (busy with school). But awhile back people were asking for some more pictures of the hood. It's been on for several months now and is holding up nice. Here are some new pics.

On a side note, I am still in love with the hood. The car gets quite a few more looks now (also from the police ) Not to mention the motor is running 5-10 degrees cooler on hot days. Now that it is finally getting cold in NJ, you can usually see the heat actually RISING out of the slots. Looks pretty cool from the driver's/passenger's seat and I have actually had some of my friends comment on it.

do you drive the car when it snows like a normal person or does it sit in a garage all winter?

only reason i ask is i wonder what it would look like if you raised the hood after it snowed/rained ice? if it holds up well then i might be looking to buy that hood.
