Cut them to the shape I wanted, then baked new lens in the oven at 300 degrees (this time leaving the oven on, unlike when you bake to remove the old lens) for a few minutes. I used a baking pan and rolled up a small cloth towel and balanced the lens on it. I watched them the entire time and once I saw the ends start to droop (ever so slightly) I pulled them out immediately and pressed them down and they molded perfectly to the housing. I was quite suprised how well it worked. They cooled fast so you have to be quick. Do it one at a time.
I was going to use 1/8th inch but I've heard of peoples cracking so I tried the 1/4" and its worked great. No leaks, no fogging, no popping up on any side. Used just a cheap hardware store epoxy (2600psi i think) and then a bead of clear silicone once that was dry.
Also makes for no gap

How do you remove the old epoxy on already modified clear fogs? If I do it agaim I would buy tinted lexan 1/4" |

Heat em up, pull them apart. Just use sand paper to remove the epoxy or scuff up the housing. Its only the outter lip its actually adhearing to so wont be a big deal. Once sanded, just reapply epoxy and install the new lens (and silicone the seam for extra measure if you'd like). |

I of course paid to ship to TX. I threw him some extra bones above $65 for being so easy to work with. |

I have clear bulbs in mine to prevent the blueish color (when off) you get with the silverstars, but i would def like them to light up orange. |

I bought a set and compared to the silverstar's, they arent NEARLY as bright. However, yes they do look nicer in there and dont give the blue effect. I tried them both at the same time (one on each side) and I was skeptical about using the stealth ones due to the lack of light. I mean its not that bad but I didnt feel it was up to par. My lens are totally clear as well, if yours are tinted, you may want to reconsider. |

Still on the fence on this. Anyone have any regular pictures of these installed? Maybe a picture from the front or front quarter?
