Not a bad idea

One thing's for sure, their doing better than the dollar right now. Maybe I should have invested more in these.

Re: Vecstacy Lenses, UUC Shifter, Black wheels, and new shift knob from LUKE

Thats what I was thinking. Oh well I'd rather have my set on my car than sold to the highest bidder. I wonder how hard it is to make these??? Making one set shouldnt be anything but time consuming but producing 20 sets could be a challenge.

I may go see how much lexan is and find out the best way to cut it if I have time today.

Stuckey- loves the way your V looks. Who did your tails? I just F-ed up mine when I knocked one over and scratched it up bad.

Re: Vecstacy Lenses, UUC Shifter, Black wheels, and new shift knob from LUKE

A local body shop owner did my tails including the 3rd brake light. I used the remove and glue method for the sides and fogs. If you cant find anyone to do it I can ask what he will charge.

Re: Vecstacy Lenses, UUC Shifter, Black wheels, and new shift knob from LUKE

After doing a pretty nice job on my tails a few weeks ago I bumped one tail that was drying and cracked it. I have a spare set of tails I need done.

Re: Vecstacy Lenses, UUC Shifter, Black wheels, and new shift knob from LUKE

you must have bumped it pretty good to crack the lense. I thought of using VHT but 5 coats them 2 coats of clear is alot. We just mixed black paint and clear coat. 3 coats later we were done and its not so thick that it will chip easy. The other side of that is I've never heard of the VHT with cleaer chipping either. I've just seen paint jobs that get real thick tend to chip easy.

Re: Vecstacy Lenses, UUC Shifter, Black wheels, and new shift knob from LUKE

The VHT cracked/chipped, not the plastic. I wasn't clear on that in my post. I have zero patience to wet sand it smooth again.

Re: Vecstacy Lenses, UUC Shifter, Black wheels, and new shift knob from LUKE

Nice.. the "V" adds a nice touch. I just did the holden knob and boot. I love it, but really like this. Nice work. What is the height from the console to the knob top? length of throw from , say, 3-4?

I shortened the throw with a B&M and then added the holden knob which is not internally drilled as deep so it sat a little higher than I preferred hense adding some throw length back in that the the B&M shortened.

overall the throw was less even after I drilled the knob deeper inside.

This looks sweet!

The throw and height is the same as any other V with a stock knob and uuc shifter.

I was on the early early list from yourgmsolutions for the clear fogs. I think the famous "Vecstasy" style ones are a shade darker if I remember correctly. Mine are sitting on my desk with the locktite. I really need to just DO that already

Does the V2 knob snap on directly on the V1 stalk? And what color is the swayde??

Mine is the all leather version. And yes it pops on exactly as the stock knob does.
