Considering that I have minimal tools I was thinking about just paying a shop to do the swap for me. What kind of time and most of all patience do I need to make the swap myself? I read the how to in the FAQs and it sounds easy enough, but I would hate to believe that it is easier than it really may be. Thanks guys! |

The only tool you need is something to help you pop the tabs that hold the fender in. Oh yeah and a single 8mm you can feel the top edge of the bumper of the lens hole. The wiring will plug right in and so will the stock bulb but won't be legal without orange. I don't know about LEDs but I got these: http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...verStarSignal/
They look blue but light is orange.
...and then I saw these later that I like better. http://www.stealthauto.com/Products/...ALTHBULBS.aspx |

I talked to my local Cadillac dealer about doing the swap for me, but if I may still attemp the swap myself, especially if it will cost me more to get the swap done by Cadillac than it would for me to just do it myself. Thanks for all of the help on this. |

Are these it?? Did you get the 55w ones? What's up with the ballast? Where does that sit in the whole scheme of things? Also, did I hear you have to reverse the wires or sum $hit? (I'm dumb sry) Quote:

As far as I know the only orange (amber) lights required on cars are side marker lights. Of course these laws are statutory and may differ across lines.
In TN you must have red tails and amber side markers. There are not laws governing fogs and DRL's except they may not be red or blue.
Correct me if I am wrong.
