    get the flaming ready...(yellow fogs)

ok, so I have the front bumper off again to tackle making the turn markers and fogs tinted...a painter friend of mine is hooking me up....

so the question is...the fogs are going to be tinted to match the rest of the black-out look...I'm not doing HID converstion (6500k) on the fogs because there is actually a lot of foggy mornings/nights here is Florida right by the ocean...

so yellow fogs actual help with seeing in actual fog....but how g a y will it look????

So you'll have yellow bulbs behind the tinted lens? I think it should look just fine. Then again, I've always been a fan of yellow fog lights, and actually think that function over form is the way to go.

Nice try, but actually fog lights and driving lights are defined by the beam pattern, not by the color. Driving lights are pencil beams designed to project light well ahead of the vehicle (even farther than high beams), while fogs throw light closer, wider, and low to the ground (to augment low beams). Based on the pattern that ours project, I'd say they're most definitely fog lights (as Cadillac calls them).

PIAA knows a little something about lighting. See what they have to say. A very nice set of diagrams that shows the difference between the types of lights.
