This is the former subydude from nasioc?

I'm very interested in seeing what the final product looks like. Kinda tempted to do bronze on black

After seeing this pic, that middle one in the right row looks good. Guessing/hoping that is hyper black?? Also you can see how one (front left) set the spoke are bowing out, i sure hope ours wont look like that!
That's what sucks and is kinda holding me back from picking up a set of these. We're not gonna get that look of the right middle wheel. Since we won't be getting the offset that'll achieve that look, I'm afraid we might end up with the Mazda 3(Speed?) look posted above instead of the 350Z look... I'd also prefer to go staggered if possible.

Though hyperblack is an easy choice, I wonder what those whites would like on a black V. Go for the ricer look. I do like white wheels.

Can't wait to see some of you post actual pictures with these wheel on the V.

Same here...which is why I wish he was offering a staggered option to acheive that deep dish look in the rear.

Re: WheelDude.com | Custom Affordable Wheels for the Cadillac CTS-V!!!

I am very interested but I already have stock + accessory wheels. So holding out for 19s all around.... I know, it may be a decade or two before we see affordable ones.

Dan can you at least post pics of a Torque rim with 42+ offset from an angle that will show what kind of dish the CTS-V will end up with.. thanks btw.. any update on the list?

Re: WheelDude.com | Custom Affordable Wheels for the Cadillac CTS-V!!!

Please private message if you want to be added to a list, posting in the thread only will not get you added.

I will post pictures of the exact 18x8.5 model that will be ordered. The spokes do not go past the lip of the wheel! There is a small lip and the spokes start slightly inside the lip, they then curve out a bit towards the center of the wheel but they do not go past the outside lip of the wheel.

Will any of the other wheels that were listed in the previous thread be made available in the future? Could I pay a bit more and custom order them in the V offset and bolt pattern?
No problem If there is interest in other wheels it is definiately a possibility. As mentioned a lot of our wider wheels have concave/large lips which unfortunately will not work on the CTS-V application. We have the Rota DPT coming out in 18" which is a 18x9 and 18x10 10 spoke wheel that does have a good amount of caliper clearance and could be a possibility. These are still in mold fabrication and I will post more info in a couple months when they near production.

The spoke does not stick out past the lip of the wheel. The picture above with various wheel/tire packages can throw off the perception of the wheels. You have an extreme concaved wheel on one side so it makes the flat wheel look to bow out.

Yep We are still officially Suby_dude and Subydude.com on our Subaru related forums however we switched to Wheeldude.com on all of our other car forums.

Hyper Silver is not the same, the finishing process is very similar though. Both wheels start out with a full black coating and then they are sprayed with a "Hyper" coating. Hyper Silver gets more coats to give a full Silver look with a hint of black shading. Hyper Black is best described as a black chrome or liquid metal color and changes depending on lighting conditions

I didn't realize we couldn't edit posts after making a thread so the list was delayed a bit. As of 5 minutes ago the list in the main post is up to date with everyone's PM's from this weekend Big thanks to urbanski for being so active and helping edit in my list image

We can make a staggered setup but it won't fit. To achieve the deep concave look you need a wide wheel with a low offset. Unfortunately this style will not clear the large rear calipers in a high offset due to the amount of concave the 18x9.5 model has.

Yes center caps will be included with the wheels and they will be color matched to the wheels.

Here's an example of the caps in an all Yamaha Black finish

Re: WheelDude.com | Custom Affordable Wheels for the Cadillac CTS-V!!!

I've been waiting for a good time to use that line

So i started back at the beginning of this thread and havent seen a pic of hyper silver, well at least not one labeled hyper silver. They all say hyper black. I'll check out the website, surely the color is up there (or are silver and black just really close in pics?)

Re: WheelDude.com | Custom Affordable Wheels for the Cadillac CTS-V!!!

List updated in the first post! We need a total of 10 people to get these wheels in to production, 5 people per color at the start. After the initial 10 people we can start making the new hub and get the wheels in to production. All future orders after the initial 10 people order will only require 5 people per color to get a new batch going

The image in the first thread is now back up, the large image at the start is Hyper Silver. Here's another shot of Hyper Silver to show you the color on the 18x8.5 Torque

Hyper Silver and Hyper Black are similar colors. They both have a base all black coat to start the process. Then the wheels are sprayed with a "Hyper" coat which gives the wheel a silver finish. Hyper Silver receives an extra coat for a brighter silver finish. Both colors look great and change shades a bit depending on the lighting conditions as the black base coat starts to shine through a bit, it's really neat
