Here's some more info from Dan, with some pics that show mock-ups of how the wheel will fit relative to the body. Quote: |

(19x9.5 +56) the wheel surprisingly cleared the trailing arm, only ~2-3mm's of clearance though. Test fitting the wheel with a 5mm
spacer (19x9.5 +51) gave plenty of clearance and would put overall inside fitment the same as a 19x10 +45 wheel. With this
much clearance a 275 wide tire will have absolutely no trailing arm issues and I see a 285 also fitting inside without problems.
I put a 18mm spacer on the STS wheel which gave us an idea of how a 19x10 +45 wheel will sit (+44 to be exact but close enough ). Here's how the wheel looks:
With the suspension compressed the wheel will tuck right up under fender and allow for 275 fitment from the looks of everything.
Final specs should be as follows
19x8.5 +40 front (ideal tire 245/40/19)
19x10 +45 rear (ideal tire 275/35/19) | He followed up to say that the wheel engineers had advised that a couple more millimeters of caliper clearance would be good,
so they'll be going with a +47mm offset in the rear. Here's the info/pics from his follow-up PM: Quote: |

Based on the caliper measurements a 19x10 +47 Veneto will have ~7mm of caliper clearance. This is more than enough
clearance and I will be ordering this fitment instead of the +45. I feel that there is enough inside trailing arm clearance and it
would be best to get as high of an offset as possible so we don't risk any rubbing with the outside fenders. They also confirmed
center cap clearance with a LC Moda style cap (flat cap may end up working upon the actual test fit like we saw with the Torque's
but it's better to be safe and make the wheels with these. )
Here's how the moda style cap looks once installed:
Also here's a picture I found of an STS rear wheel mounted without a spacer. We should have ~3mm of extra trailing arm
clearance with the 19x10 +47 rear wheel.
I'm setting these as high priority. We will still need to fabricate a new hub for the 6 lug PCD however this should go fairly quick
and then production will start. I am shooting for a release early next year. I am going to do an initial release in both Hyper
Silver and Hyper Black. |
