Now its time to get
Tell us a little more about the sound deadening. I just ordered some hotmat for the trunk.

as for the sound dampening I personally used FATMAT because it was cheap enough I doubled layered it all around and triple layered it in critical points..heard a lot of people say that FATMAT smelled which it did but after I installed it let it dry and covered back up never noticed an odor....huge difference in the subs and well worth it to reduce drone/road noise..I also did the whole trunk in the spare tire well under the trunk lid behind the license plate under the seats..kind of a PITA but got rid of 99% of my rattle from the subs and like I said a lot for road noise |

What kind of dyno did you put those numbers down....are you tuned? |

To be honest I don't know offhand..it baselined at I think 328 rwhp, after mods it was 362 but running dangerously lean fixed the AFR and tuned back up to 358..gonna redo the tune with a MD tuner I have heard good things about from Forum members after headers and intake manifold see what that does for me |

I got 50 feet, so I guess it'll be enough to double layer the trunk and back seat. What would you consider "critical points"? I'm doing it for road noise.
Thanks

yeah 50 ft should be enough I ordered 100 and ended up with a ton left over

Did you lower the car with the GC? Im going with 18s with a drop so I was wondering about clearance.
No rubbing in the rear with that wide a tire with 20s?

I chose a tire with a short enough sidewall the diameter of my rims and tires is actually the same as the stock rim and tire diameter, and I fit 285's. I am considering bumping the rears up just a touch because when the car is fully loaded with passengers it does get closer than I like, but it is all in what you want. I may just roll the fenders instead. |

I'm the one who owes you a thank you, you did way more than was required to help me get these wheels on as smoothly as possible. I'll be sending an email to Steve and you with some higher res pictures later tonight. I gotta say, I'm sorry to hear you did not get your wheels before you left but man is it something to look forward to when you get back. Unless the new ones are ready? The first day I had my wheels on some guy pulled up next to me and I thought he wanted to race, but he was taking my picture haha.
Take care over there, Semper Paratus (that's from my dad) |
