Just pulled these off my camera so figured I'd throw them up. Not ideal conditions because when I took these it was after a bunch of snowstorms here in New England so my car was filthy, but it was the only way I could do side-by-side pics that make it easy to compare the color of the LED lights versus stock incandescents.
My piece o' crap Superbrite LED corner lights were both blinking (which caused a state trooper at the airport to question why I had blinking lights!) so I decided to replace them with some (hopefully) better lights from V-leds.

So far I just replaced my crappy corner lights, and bought brake lights and rear directionals. I actually hit a snag with the rear directionals, as the car doesn't seem to like them - I get the fast blink and the direction indicator in the gauge cluster stays lit. I ordered the fix (resistors) but they aren't here yet.
Anyway, the lights I got were the surface mount (SMD) 5-pad 194s for the triangle lights in the corner of the headlight cluster, some 27-pad SMD backup lights, and a set of 1-led lights for the license plate. Replacing the lights is very quick once you've done it once, and the directions for that are in the FAQ, so I'll just post the pics here. In general it seems the backup lights aren't as bright as the incandescents they replace, but that's fine with me - they look much nicer, and when you unlock the car and the "approach lights" come on, they are more than sufficient to light the area around the car. Now I just need some whiter high-beams so the approach lights are all 4300k-ish light instead of the ugly yellow incandescent stock high beams.
Here's a side-by-side comparison of the backup lights and license plate.
And here's some pics of the triangle lights - both when they are at rest (they look kinda cool with pale yellow pads until they are turned on) and also when they are turned on so you can see the color versus the stock low beams. The color is a little too cool I think - maybe 5000k versus the low beams 4300k, but it's pretty close.
Next step for me is probably to put the resistors in and put LED turn signals in the rear. Eventually I'll do the DRL defeat and put them in the front as well... (as an aside, I did the DRL defeat right away when I got my black C5 coupe, and as time went on I kinda regretted it because it makes the car so much more distinctive from a distance, but that's a bad thing when you drive 85mph everywhere you go, so I'll probably defeat them on the V soon...)
