Blacked out my mesh grilles

Remove this ad
This idea somehow got stuck in my head a few weeks ago... So I picked up an extra set of grilles and powdercoated the mesh black. The powdercoating place said no need to sandblast them. It's finished in a glossy black. VERY good quality IMO.

Anyways... pics!

Re: Blacked out my mesh grilles

Looks good

I personally hate the mesh grills. I have thought more than once about replacing mine with the regular CTS sport grill.

Re: Blacked out my mesh grilles

Looks good! I like it. The SS is just too much Bling on this car.

I'll probably do the same thing soon.

We recently bought a V bumper with top & bottom grille & fogs/brackets for the CTS. My dad used his sport grille with the V bumper, so I had an extra V grille. So basically it was free. I don't have a spare bottom grille yet, but will probably buy one from Luke if I decide to switch the black ones out.

Cost me $50 to powdercoat them.

Thanks. I saw your pic in another thread. I didn't want to make it TOO black.

I'm just waiting to hear back from someone before I do my exhaust.

Can't go too far with performance mods. Need my warranty.
