I want 20's, I am thinking either I-forged or ccw, let's see what HRE's and asantis look like on these cars. I have seen a few out there but nothing jaw dropping yet(no offense). Who's got a jaw dropper? |

Should not be an issue with lugs or clearance, but I cannot remember anyone on The Forum going with CCW Dubs. |

Thanks for the compliment, Urby and Shane Smith dealt with CCW before I ordered mine, and they were very convincing about the product. The black chrome makes them look ten times better, and was about $150.00 per wheel. Here are a few more if anyone is considering: |

The OP is looking for info on 20s, but since the subject line was more generic than that I'll post some CCW info in case others come looking. On Monday I spoke with Chip @ CCW about wheels, specifically looking to stay with 18" for my car. As much as I love the SP600s, and that's what I initially asked him about, it turns out the SP600 won't clear the V's brakes in an 18". The only wheels they have that will clear the big Brembos in an 18" is the Corsair series - the C10, C12, and C14. They're actually intended to be track wheels, but for a street application they can set them up to have center caps.
I like the look of the C14 a lot. Unfortunately, I don't know how it would look on a CTS-V, and they don't have any pics of the wheel on a V yet. Here's the info on the C14, and here's a bigger picture:
Chip said they could do an 18x9" front, 18x10" rear combo to fit the CTS-V.
The C12 is a similar spoke design, and Chip thought it might look better since the 12 spokes would align with the 6-lug bolt pattern better than the 14 spokes on the C14. However, I prefer the smooth center section of the C14, and I also like the flush spokes (rather than the lip on the C12). I don't know if either of those details are something they can change depending on wheel offset or what. Here's a shot of the C12 (since there aren't any on their website):
As for finishes, I asked Chip about the different SP600s pictured on the CTS-Vs in the gallery.
- The first pictures are of the black Katech car. The kinda anthracite finish on those wheels was something that Katech did (or had done), not CCW, so Chip didn't have any real details on that.
- The black chrome, which I do think looks awesome, is something that Chip said they're trying to get away from. It sounded to me like CCW doesn't want to deal with the finish complaints since it's something beyond their control, so they'd rather sell the wheels and let the customer deal with the often temperamental chroming process. That's just my take on what he said, so I could be wrong. Anyway, he said if I wanted them finished that way, they could ship the wheels to Helios Coatings, they'd coat them, and then Helios would ship them to me. (I actually thought he said "Helio's" vice "Helios", but a quick googling finds the Helios Coatings link, so I think that's it).
- Last but not least, I asked about the brushed black anodized. Chips said, "Well, you realize that finish comes with an extra guarantee?"
"Oh yeah, what's that?"
"They're guaranteed to fade. I'm just letting you know that now, they will fade over time."
So keep in mind that the anodized finish really originated on their track wheels, and as such I think it's intended to be a utilitarian finish, not a lasting pretty finish. Again, that's just my take on things, you can call and talk to them yourself to get the scoop if you want. |

I need some track rims, does anyone have any options for something inexpensive, besides trying to track down some rashed stockers?
I can't justify spending 2600 ish for track rims.
-Chris
Sorry for the quasi jack, but we are taling rims.

If you're referring to the C14s or C12s that I posted pics of, then I appreciate the feedback. I think the C14s in particular look sweet, but I'm having a hard time visualizing them on a CTS-V. |
