Similar thing with me also. When I did my oil change, about the same amount came out of my SRX. I put in about 5 1/2 qts. and the dip stick now reads at the top of the line. I know it's reading a little high for now, but I'll be taking a trip soon, so i'll leave it, rather than drain some out.
