For folks doing a re-build on a 472/500, there is a stainless steel front plate available from
www.cad500parts.com (Flashcraft) The original front sheet metal plate is often rusted/pitted and prone to leaks. The water pump is mounted there etc. Last time I looked, the new plate is $125.
