I don't have to bring up the map, program the way points to ONLY show me motels and then spend the next who knows how long touching each POI on the map to see what it is. This is stupid on a $2+K Nav system when a $200 Garmin will do as I said at the begining. I expect a whole lot more out of the GM Nav. I also don't expect it to take me to a place to eat off the freeway where I can see it is just around the corner to the right about 50 feet and have it tell me to turn left and when safe to make a uturn in the middle of the road to get to the business and then when I find a place after turning left a half mile down the road tell me I have reached my destination though I'm a 1/2 mi. away in the wrong direction.

I do agree with your Garmin comments. I just bought my 3rd Garmin (nuvi 855), and it is definitely more user friendly and capable than the in-dash STS nav. I had it in the trunk in case the STS had issues--it stayed in the trunk.
