I had an '05 6MT, and at 50K started to run through a quart every 500 - 1,000 miles. I always kept a quart in my car for addition. It always seemed to be low when I got it back from oil changes! I will be the first to admit I drove it aggressively. But, I still thought the oil consumption seemed excessive. But, I didn't notice any sudden loss of acceleration or power at that point.

It didn't scare me off enough to get another CTS 6MT. Just picked it up last week.
