I just returned from my first road trip with my '06 CTS that I purchased earlier this year as a pre-owned vehicle. The car has just over 42,000 miles on it and the engine is the 3.6 litre.

Over the course of a 1100 mile trip, the vehicle consumed almost 2 quarts of oil. Granted some of trip involved some hard driving (i.e. temperatures in the lower 90's, stop and go traffic on the tollways around Chicago, etc.), but this amount of oil consumption seems a bit excessive. Hell, I've got a Chevy Blazer with almost 140,000 miles on it that didn't use a drop over the course of a recent 700 mile round trip.

The vehicle is still on warranty. Do I have a warranty issue, or am I just overly concerned?
