The car shuts down, seems to be a lack of fuel, restarts in a few minutes, runs for a while and then shuts down again. The Cadillac Dealer diagnosis was low fuel pressure no trouble codes - needs a fuel pump. I'm not sure if that is really the problem. I would like to know if anyone has had similar problems and could help.

The only problems I have had in the past were:
  • Replacement of a Gear Selector Switch - covered under warranty
  • Battery Replacement
  • Eats up front tires every 15-20K miles
Well I seam to find another person with the same problem CAR SHUTS DOWN

It's the Crank sensors or do they even know. My 98 Catera is a great driving car. But...I had to have the tires replaced when I purchased it with 10k Miles.
700.00 with new brakes. the pads ate right though the sensors, that's why I did not know the brakes were gone. I never heard of changing out tires this soon. The tires were bald on the inside of all four tires.
