Oil pan gaskets give problems on some 2001+ Northstars. Must remove much of the suspension to replace this gasket. Design defect, basically. I have heard a price of approx $1800 to replace with a new gasket; heard that from a mechanic at a Caddy dealer. Problem happens after 50k miles.
