Rodya234, It was the same in the mid-60's as right now: If you want an accurate temperature or pressure gauge, mechanical is the answer. A slew of us used to be pretty good at snaking capillary tubing all over the place.......ask Dkoz about the turbo boost gauge on a '64 Corvair Spyder.

The tach is eye candy. 10K rpm looks strong (Oh, WOW !!! 10K !!!), but with a redline shift of 5,750 (4.9 ?), you lose 43% of the definition.
