No one on the planet is going to buy that your Beetle is more comfortable that the Luxo Barge for a road trip. Even if your SDV is a stripped down former POS rent a car with a spring popped through the leather poking you in the asz, it's more comfortable than a Beetle.
When you sober up you can admit it, we already know.
