The first thing I would chase is the ground to the driver's side light module. If the cornering and turn signal lamps do not work I'd find the ground and verify that it is good since it is common to both those lights. After that it may be either a bad wiring connector or damaged wiring. The good news is that if the rears are working its unlikely a problem in the steering column. The bad news is that leaves much of the car left to search. A Factory Service Manual will show a detailed wiring diagram with all the connectors, pinouts and locations.
