| Drivers Front Turn Signal Does Not Work- all others do. I tried a search but could not come up with anything on this.
My father just bought a 1999 Deville. The Drivers Front turn signals do not work at all. However if I signal a left turn, the rears do work (flash fast though). I put new bulbs in the front, and even swapped in another headlight w/ a different harness. Still no luck. I used a multimeter on the large white connector, but could not located a 12 volt that flashed on and off. I checked the passengers side connector, and was able to locate a pin that powered on and off in accordance to the flashers(w/ right turn signaled).
So for some reason I am not getting a a 12 volt flasher signal- to the drivers front turn signal lights. Where should I begin to look? Can anyone explain how the power is distributed to the front and rear signals? I assume that if the rears work, then the problem must be somewhere between wherever that power spilts, and the drivers side headlight connector.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
BTW the cornering light does not seem to work either on the drivers side, and the hazard lights do not work. I will replace the hazard flasher tomorrow to see if that corrects anything, but I doubt it will.
Sorry for the long post. |
