That sounds like an awefull lot of lift, however I'd be most concerned about what type of lobes that sucker has. If it has a very agressive lobes (I.E. the ramp rate is very high), it will be hard to control unless you use very strong springs.
If you get supper agressive with your lift and ramp rates, then you are going to need to swap valve springs more often. If you don't put a lot of miles (er KM's) on the car then it doesn't matter as much. I'd also consider getting a nice dual spring set, just for the added piece of mind of having the 2 springs. If you do break a spring, with the duals you will usually have enough time to pull over and shut the car off before the engine eats your valve ($$$$), whereas with a beehive single spring, the valve gets chomped ASAP.
If I were you I'd consider working with Partick G over on LS1TECH and have him spec out a custom ground cam for you. You can get the grind done by Lingenfleter (since you know someone there) fairly easily. They ground mine for me. If you get a custome cam, you can get exactly what you want. Especially given that you want it to be 'different' but not also scare away every girl in the area. Just tell Patrick what you want.
Glad you came around to the idea of getting a cam

As mentioned above, i am pretty high on the cr. I called my friend again just to reconfirm and his re-assured me that plenty of people runnin a similar setup have installed this cam with no worries...
Our cars already sound like sewin machines, so i am interested to see how much more it is amplified...
Worse case i take out the cam...
As for tunin my friend at LPe is gonna hep me out...Since i am basically runnin their top end...And intake kit, and i bought most of my mods from them...
