Your speed thru the trap is impressive too. I had that exact same speed with my 06, but that was with the stage I&II D3 intake and ECU. So do you have the itch for some upgrades yet?? : ) I'd love to know what your Cobra runs too (I miss my Saleen Cobra!). |
Thanks. Not sure I really know how to drive this car, I made about 8 passes (the others were 13.2-13.7) I think I just got lucky and got the launch just right this one pass. Considering the temp was in the upper 30's, low 40's and I was on stock tires, I think a 1.8 60 ft. would have been near impossible. I will try the wheel sensor trick if I get it to the track again.
As to the high trap speed, it's easily explained:
1) I let the car cool thoroughly between passes.
2) The DA was -600 feet
3) There was also a bit of a tailwind
I'm sure if your modded STS-V was running at this track with the same weather I ran in on Sunday, you'd have seen 111-112 trap speeds. I actually trapped 109 one pass and 108 on one or two others, but didn't launch as well (2.2 and 2.3 60 fts.). Try running your car at Atco at this time of year and you'll likely be pleasantly surprised at your trap speeds.
Here's some memories for ya, my Cobra's best pass to date (from about a month ago):
GNXS - Best Pass
Another:
GNXS at Byron
BTW, the Cobra's is still on it's Stock 110,000+ mile Longblock.
SVT Cobra and STS-V (handbuilt, forged motors FTW!)
