I have sold three heavily modded vehicles in the past, and in hindsight I should have parted out the mods and returned them to stock for the sale.
You have a very small market to sell the vehicle to and unless you have patience, it will be a hard sell (especially with this market).

Hit the nail on the head. If you want your money back, or at least a bit of it, part that shit out. Otherwise you won't get more than maybe a grand above regular going rate.
