I lived for many years with wood heat,an important thing is not to think that bigger is better,when a wood burner has to be damped down because it's too hot, then it's too big for the area it is heating,it's better that it has to work to heat an area,cleaner burning and keeps the pipes clean also,when allowed to "lug" it creates creasote, comparable to a car engine, you dont want to have it lugging.
