When looking at the latest Mobil 1 filter pn M1 107, I wanted to compare it to the K&N Gold equivalent pn HP1007. While looking at the business end of both filters, they were identical and appeared to be from the same manufacturer even down to the stamping on the plate.

Just an FYI to anyone rushing out to buy the Mobil 1 M107. This will work for '04-'06 but not '07. Some genius changed the threads for 2007, it takes an M113. Don't ask how I know, suffice it to say that the story involves swearing, 2 - M107's, 1 - M113, a screwdriver, razor knife, sand paper, 3 trips to Autozone and ends in throwing an M107 across the yard and being late for work.
