Re: Intermittant "snapshot taken"

The DIC indication is telling you that there is a DTC being set that requires diagnosis by a dealer technician using the GM Tech-II electronic tool. The "snapshot"" is a data log of everything that was going on in the car's systems when the fault occurred.

Have you read up on how to pull and read your DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) using your car's built-in scan/read functions ? Look at the top "sticky" threads here, in Northstar Performance, and in Technical Tips.

After you practice reading codes, remember to write them all down, noting whether each is Current or History. Don't reset anything yet.....the dealer will have to know what happened. Most of the codes you'll see are transient glitches and may never reappear......Do some homework and you'll see how to make sense of it all. Piece of cake..........

BTW.........Welcome Aboard..........go up to User CP in the blue bar on the Home page and update your profile and personal data with your car, year, model, mileage. It keeps us all on the same diagnosis page.........
